At North Mecklenburg Animal Rescue, once we take in a dog we are committed to that dog for the duration of its life. As a rescue that takes in the ones other rescues refuse we have a handful of dogs that have spent most of their lives with us. They have been repeatedly passed over for adoption because of their breed, a health problem, or any other reason that is no fault of their own. Even worse, several were adopted and returned for various reasons after having gotten “too old” for most homes to consider.
It is our hope to keep these dogs happy and healthy and offer them as much comfort and love as we can. We can’t do this without your help! NMAR is a 501c3 non-profit so all of your donations are tax deductible.

Community fundraisers build awareness and as well as raise much needed funds that help provide the care and support for our rescue pets. From car washes to bunco parties to 5K races, there are lot’s of creative ways to raise funds for the rescue.
