Big Changes for the Rescue

NMAR is moving to a new, and BIGGER, location. Our new facility is located between NODA and the new Camp North End off N. Tryon Street and 1 mile from Uptown Charlotte. If all goes well with the closing we should be moved into The Embassy in 2021!

As you know, NMAR is working hard to help end pet abandonment, abuse, and neglect. With the new larger shelter, we will be able to house more than twice as many homeless pets. Our goal, as always, is to create a happy, healthy and social place for our dogs, so they can receive the care they need before being placed in their forever home. With this larger facility, we will be able to care for more animals, have a designated quarantine area for sick animals, an outdoor play area, a meet-and-greet and education room. We are so thankful to have found this location!

We are dedicated to providing a safe and healthy shelter and excellent care to homeless, abandoned and neglected dogs. Which is why we are dubbing our new facility The Embassy, a safe place for all dogs.

We need your help more than ever.

We must raise $75,000 to help offset the renovation costs and complete the project to an acceptable and habitable standard. With your assistance, we can make The Embassy a place that meets the needs of our dogs, staff, volunteers, and visitors. With your continued support, we will be able to make this facility a safe and welcoming place for everyone who walks in the door.

Your support, at every level, makes a difference in the lives of the animals in our care. We welcome you to be apart of this new and exciting adventure!

Please feel free to contact us with any questions or if you would like to help in other ways.
