Duncan enjoys playing with his canine friends and he also has a bit of independence and will play with his toys on his own. If you are interested in meeting Hazel, please go to our website and fill out an application. www.northmeckanimalrescue.org Hazel is lively, alert and fun! Hazel is incredibly smart and most of the time does exactly what you want her to do before you even ask. She loves her walks and has perfect leash manners. Hazel is dog friendly but in typical schnauzer fashion, sometimes thinks that she is superior and can be assertive with other dogs. Hazel has always been very well cared for, trained and very loved. Unfortunately she is having a difficult time sharing her parents with a toddler. Hazel is currently being fostered with other dogs and doing well but ideally she would like to be a single dog. She is house trained and crate trained but doesn't necessarily need a crate. Hazel is 6 years old and weighs 40 pounds. Her adoption fee is $175. Moe & Poe
Moe & PoeMoe & PoeMoe & PoeMoe & PoeMoe & Poe

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website and fill out an application. www.northmeckanimalrescue.org This bonded pair are actually rare Central Asian Shepherds, which is a guardian breed similar, but far less common, than Anatolians. Unfortunately they were previously with very neglectful owners. They were taken by Fulton Co GA. Animal control twice. Thankfully animal control finally got it that they were awful owners and didn't release them the 2nd time. They are both heartworm positive and have started the slow kill treatment several months ago. Moe, the male also has a limp when he runs too much. His new safe haven is an amazing place but he's in a large yard and to run more than what he probably should for the moment. He will always (both really need) to be on Glucosamine for joints. His elbows have rough skin pockets from being on concrete and malnourished. They are funny dogs that love attention and belly rubs. They play together very sweetly and we would love to keep them together. They are Guardian dogs that will bark at "strangers" until properly introduced and need owners that understand this wonderful breed. If interested in them please fill out an application on our website. Direct any questions to beth4thedogs@yahoo.com $250 adoption fee for the pair View full description »

Peanut
PeanutPeanutPeanutPeanutPeanutPeanut

Peanut is still looking for her forever home. If you are interested in meeting her, please go to our website and fill out an application. www.northmeckanimalrescue.org Peanut is an approximately 6 months old, sweet, loving and playful pup. She is up to date on her vaccines including rabies. She is house trained and crate trained. She loves to play with the bigger dogs or just hang out with them. She has tons of toys and chews bones and enjoys playing fetch with a ball. She does not quite got the “bring back” yet…. She is very food motivated so training would be a cinch. She knows sit very well and she knows “no” lol. She does require a fenced yard due to her being slightly skittish with noises. She has been on a leash a couple times and she would definitely need a little more work but has done well. She rides great in a car. She would be the perfect companion…perfect size, about 30 lbs. Peanut plays hard so an active pup is going to be her best match. Adoption fee is $250 and includes: spay/neuter, parvo/distemper series of shots, rabies (if dog is old enough), bordetella, heartworm preventative while here, worming, and microchip.
